IP blacklist (DNSBL)

A DNS-based list of IP addresses associated with spam, abuse, or other unwanted activity.

An IP blacklist, commonly called a DNSBL, is a DNS-based list of addresses associated with spam, abuse, malware, or other unwanted activity. Mail servers and security systems query these lists when evaluating traffic. A listed proxy IP can make an account environment look less trustworthy and trigger additional verification.
